Edit Gradebook Categories
Customize your gradebook by adding categories for assignments. To make a category count more toward final grades, enable weights. If category weights are not enabled, all assignments have equal weight.

Edit a student's grade to grant or remove additional points. You can change the student's overall assignment score, or their score for individual questions.

Google Classroom Roster Not Synced
If changes you make to your Google Classroom roster do not appear in your NGLSync roster after a few minutes, refresh your Google Classroom roster.
Grade Tests in Cognero
Some Cognero questions require manual grading, and automatically graded questions can be edited.
Hide Course Materials
To remove course materials, hide them from your and your students' course view.

Launch Course

Remove Teachers from a Class
This feature is not available for all courses. If you cannot edit your course, contact your district's technology coordinator. Require Approval for Student Registration
Requiring registration approval deters cheating from students with duplicate accounts. If your course uses self-registration and does not require registration approval, some students may try to cheat by enrolling a fake account in your course to access assignments before taking them under their real name. Sign in with Google Classroom
Sign in to Google Classroom. In your Google Classroom class, click Classwork . Click the link under Cengage Resources to open the NGLSync portal.
Sign Out
Protect your NGLSync account by signing out when you are finished.
Single Sign-On (SSO) Application
Use your institution or school district's Single Sign-On (SSO) experience to access your learning platform. Your institution may use Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) or an SSO application such as Clever or Classlink.
Student Groups
Create student groups to quickly apply different settings to certain students when assigning work. Groups can be used to give students different start and due dates, additional attempts on questions, and additional assignments. After creating a group, you can rename it, add or remove students, or remove the group entirely.
Students Asked for Payment
Your K–12 school district has purchased access to MindTap for K–12 for its students, but when students create accounts and sign in at the main Cengage home page, they are told their trial access will expire and asked for payment.
Take Notes
Take notes on your assignments and course materials. Your notes are saved in the Study Hub for future reference.
View Assignment Reports
Assignment reports show how your class did on each question in an assignment. To find areas students may need more help with, view the average score for each question and which students answered correctly.
View English Language Gains Reports
View student progress in English language and reading proficiency. Progress is measured by the difference in student performance on their first and most recent English language gains assignments.

Open the gradebook to view student grades.

View Usage Reports
View the amount of time students spend in MindTap for K–12. Each student has a detailed report showing time spent on each assigned material,and how that compares to the class average.
Can't Register Google Classroom Students
Your course page shows the error message Students cannot be registered in your course until you correct your permission settings or unlink Google Classroom.
Open eBook to a Specific Page
Find a page in your eBook by page number. The page numbers in eBooks match the print version.
