Add Books to Classes
Your classes will need books added before they can be used with students.
What should a teacher do with their expired classes (self-registration)?
Once a class has expired, teachers do not need to delete the class or remove students from the class. Expired classes will move into an archived list. This allows teachers to access data on students in their previous classes. The archived class feature will be available for the fall of 2016.
Is there a limit to the number of students per class?
No, there is currently no limit to the number of students per class. Schools do purchase a certain number of student licenses, and although we use soft-licensing, you should stay within the amount of licenses that were purchased.
Add Students to a Class
Students can be added to a class in one of two ways. Teachers can add students manually, or students can register themselves using a class access code.
Add an Assignment to Multiple Classes
Within Schoology you can now make an assignment for multiple classrooms at the same time through the external tool.
How do students access the online materials over the summer?
Students will only be able to access the Big Ideas Math content if they are assigned to an active class. An active class has an end date that is not in the past. If a student is not in an active class, they can still view their book on our free Easy Access Materials webpage.

As a student, how do I join a new class?
Go to www.BigIdeasMath.com and login with the same credentials you used for previous Big Ideas Math classes. Click on your name in the top-right corner of the website, then click Add Class . Enter the access code your teacher provided you with and click Next . You will then be enrolled in the new class and have access to your book and assignments.
Access Big Ideas Content
Organizations who have integrated with LTI 1.3 can quickly access Big Ideas Math content from the Canvas Course Navigation. Important: if you are integrated with Canvas your course has to be published , in order for your classes and students to be able to interact with our content.
